Terms of Service

Last updated: 21 August 2026

Maitree Mindcare is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, or you are thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately. Do not wait for a reply from this website.

1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use the Maitree Mindcare website, send us an enquiry through it, or book a consultation with us. By using the site or booking an appointment, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Maitree Mindcare operates from Mangaldai Road, opposite Axis Bank, Agdola, Baihata Chariali, Assam 781381, and can be reached at maitree.mind@gmail.com or +916900325106.

2. What we provide

We offer:

  • Psychiatric consultations with qualified psychiatrists, online by video or in person at our clinic.
  • Therapy and counselling with clinical psychologists registered with the Rehabilitation Council of India.
  • In-patient care at our clinic for cases where a clinician judges it appropriate.
  • “Ask a Clinician” — brief written answers to general questions. This is general information, not a diagnosis, a treatment plan or a substitute for a consultation.

3. Using this website does not create a clinical relationship

Browsing this website, reading its content or sending an enquiry does not, by itself, make you our patient. A clinician-patient relationship begins only when a consultation actually takes place. Nothing on this website is medical advice for your particular situation.

4. No guaranteed outcomes

Mental health treatment works differently for different people. We will apply appropriate professional care and evidence-based methods, but we cannot and do not promise any particular result, timeline, recovery or cure. Any experience described by a patient in a review or testimonial on this site is that individual’s own experience and is not a prediction of what will happen for you.

5. Who can book

You must be 18 or older to book for yourself. Appointments for children and adolescents must be booked by a parent or legal guardian, who must be available to give consent and take part in the care as needed.

6. Booking and how your enquiry reaches us

When you submit a booking or enquiry form on this site, it opens WhatsApp on your device with your details written into a message. The message is only sent when you send it, and you can edit it first. Our team then confirms your appointment slot with you directly. A booking is confirmed only once we have confirmed it to you — submitting a form is a request, not a confirmed appointment.

You are responsible for giving us accurate information. Incorrect contact details, age or medical history can affect the care we are able to provide.

7. Fees

Our current consultation fees are:

  • Doctor Consultation (Online) — ₹700 per session (30 minutes).
  • Therapy Session (Online) — ₹800 per session (30 minutes).

Fees for in-patient care, assessments and home interventions vary with the care required and are quoted to you before treatment begins. Fees are payable in Indian Rupees. We may revise our fees from time to time; the fee that applies to you is the one confirmed at the time of booking.

8. Cancellation, rescheduling and refunds

  • You can cancel or reschedule an appointment at no charge by telling us at least 4 hours before the scheduled time.
  • If you cancel later than that, or do not attend, the session fee may be retained to cover the reserved clinician time.
  • If we cancel or need to reschedule a session, you may choose another slot or receive a full refund.
  • If a session cannot go ahead because of a technical failure on our side, we will reschedule it or refund it in full.
  • Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method, usually within 7 working days.

To request a cancellation or refund, contact us at maitree.mind@gmail.com or +916900325106.

9. Prescriptions and medication

Prescriptions are issued only by a registered psychiatrist, only after a consultation, and only where clinically appropriate in that clinician’s judgement. We do not sell medicines and we do not issue prescriptions on request. Prescribing follows applicable Indian law and telemedicine practice guidelines, and some medications cannot be prescribed in an online consultation. Take medication only as directed, and tell your clinician about any side effects or other medicines you are taking.

10. Online sessions

Online consultations are held over Google Meet or Zoom. You will need a stable internet connection, a working camera and microphone, and a private space where you can speak freely. We are not responsible for problems caused by your device, network or the third-party platform. Recording a session without the clinician’s express consent is not permitted.

11. Confidentiality and its limits

What you share with your clinician is confidential. There are narrow exceptions recognised in professional practice and Indian law: where there is a serious and immediate risk of harm to you or someone else, where a court or the law requires disclosure, or where you give consent for information to be shared. Your clinician will explain these limits to you. How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

12. Your responsibilities

  • Give complete and honest information about your health, history and current medication.
  • Attend appointments at the agreed time.
  • Treat our clinicians and staff with respect. We may end a session or decline further care in cases of abusive behaviour.
  • Seek emergency help directly if your situation becomes urgent.

13. Content on this website

The text, images, logo and design on this website belong to Maitree Mindcare and may not be copied or reused without our permission. Articles and general information on the site are for education only and are not a substitute for a consultation.

14. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for professional negligence or for anything that cannot be limited under Indian law. Beyond that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for problems arising from third-party platforms such as WhatsApp, Google Meet or Zoom, or from your own internet connection or device.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Guwahati, Assam.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
